Pinyin audio credits ==================== All pinyin audio on this site — the primer's demonstration clips and every per-syllable citation — is SYNTHESIZED in one standard voice (ElevenLabs, model eleven_multilingual_v2, voice UFDAUkGzdLAEJlINT3Fx; the school's ruling of 2026-08-15: no one pronounces the classical language natively, so one consistent conventional voice teaches best). Every clip is pitch-verified against the tone its pinyin declares and loudness-normalized (mono 64 kbps mp3) before it may ship; a clip that does not sing its tone is refused and regenerated. The full per-file registry is CREDITS-syllables.txt in this directory (and CREDITS-lines.txt under /assets/audio/lines/ for whole-line readings). Until 2026-08-15 this directory carried human recordings from Wikimedia Commons by Wei Gao and Nicolas Vion (Shtooka Project), Yue Tan, Xudong Yang, and Peter Isotalo, under CC BY and CC BY-SA — with thanks; they are preserved in the repository history.
