One entry per tagged release, newest first — what grew, why, and who the consumer was. The full per-wave record lives in the CHANGELOG; every release is archived on the releases page.
Eleven waves cut as one release, the registry’s largest growth span. The genealogy gained its first American nodes (Zapotec with the Colonial Valley stage, Tupinambá, Guarani with the Old Guaraní of the Jesuit reductions), the Indic package (Telugu, Kannada with its Old and Middle stages, Ardhamāgadhī as the first individually-minted Prakrit), the Southeast Asia and Gujarat package (Balinese and Sasak, Malay with a Classical stage for the Jawi manuscript tradition, Gujarati, the Tai family with Thai), the Punjabi package (the granthic Old Punjabi stage for the Gurmukhī scriptural canon, and Gurmukhi itself in the scripts table), the Slavic branches with the Church Slavonic recension varieties, and — the smallest and rarest — Tumshuqese, whose standing no-consumer hold lifted when two London leaves in a Tocharian manuscript chain were identified from Maue’s handlist. Beneath the anchors: the comparative-etymology and StarLing branch-base wings, the dictionary-group wave, the Japanese classical ladder, and the codemap’s growth to 155 consumer-driven mappings.
Elamite as a parentless isolate (the Elamo-Dravidian hypothesis noted as unproven), with the four-stage ladder its consuming corpus’s period vocabulary materializes: Old, Middle, Neo- and Achaemenid Elamite.
One additive stage: en:early (1500–1700), picking up exactly where
the Middle English band ends. Its first consumer staged the
twenty-five thousand texts of EEBO-TCP Phase I by imprint-year
inference.
The first minor release under the v1.0.0 contract — purely additive: Norwegian and Danish anchors with the gammelnorsk stage, letting a consumer’s Old Norse manuscript archive state its modern-code claims honestly.
The first tagged release: 110 anchors, 68 stages, 19 varieties, 20 scripts and 67 codemap rows — validator-checked, CI-wired, with one live consumer resolving 148 targets at zero drift. From this tag the identifier space is under semantic versioning: identifiers are never renamed or re-meant, only added or deprecated.
The practice: every release adds its entry here in the same cut — what grew, why, and the consumer that drove it.
