Where it comes from

The seizing-sign of 102 — ku, to grasp and to lay down. Akkadian presses the k back to qu, and the epilogue reaches for it in a word about worth: šūqurātim, “precious” — literally “made dear,” the causative of being rare.

How to remember it

What is seized is held dear: press the k until it grips — qu — and you are inside šūqurātim, the king’s own word for words worth keeping.
