Drills — every sign, three ways

Every sign the courses teach, as cards: click one, answer out loud (or on paper — better), then unfold and check. Each sign comes three ways — read it (sign to sound), write it (sound to sign; draw before you peek), what does it mean — and the deck is interleaved so neighboring cards never come from the same chapter: harder on purpose, because mixed practice is what sticks. Work a section daily rather than the whole deck weekly; the answers link nowhere, but every sign’s full story lives one click away on the Signs shelf.

To drill on paper, open a cut below and print it: the cards become cut-out slips (fronts only — the Signs shelf is your answer sheet), ready for a shoebox Leitner system: three boxes, daily / every few days / weekly, cards moving up when you get them right and back to daily when you miss.

The lookalikes that keep trading places have a shelf of their own: Easily confused, where each pair stands side by side until you can tell them apart.

The deck

The deck lies face-down: every tile below holds all the cards, each in a different order. The marked tile is today’s deal — it moves with the calendar, so a casual visit never replays yesterday’s sequence. Sitting down for a real session? Pick any tile — the ones you have already worked through fade. Pick blind; your hand is the shuffle.
