Where it comes from
A peg — about three wedges, driven in like the thing it draws. Its great reading is du3, “to build”: the verb of every temple raised in this school’s readings, and of the foundation pegs that builders actually hammered into new walls as the gods’ receipt.
How to remember it
Build starts with one peg in the ground: stake the corner, raise the wall. The sign IS the first act of construction — read it and hear the mallet.
