Where it comes from

A pustule — probably: the picture is debated, and the course teaches the use, not a story. Silent: it classifies sickness, wounds, secretions, and bodily conditions — the flag of the medical papyri, where hardly a line lacks it.

How to remember it

Sickness is a swelling drawn small: whatever the little lump once was, the doctors made it their filing mark. In a remedy, the words wearing it are the complaint and its discharges — the reason the papyrus was written.
