Where it comes from

The basket with its handle on the other side — a mirror form the scribes used freely for the same sound k. Egyptian writing runs in both directions, and some signs kept both mirrors even inside a single direction of text.

How to remember it

The mirror basket is the same basket picked up with the other hand. One sound, two shapes: if the handle surprises you, nothing else changes — say k and read on.
