Where it comes from
A small round loaf of bread — the half-circle of dough every Egyptian ate daily. It writes t, the single most frequent sound-sign in the corpus: the feminine ending -t alone puts it in half the nouns in the language.
How to remember it
The loaf is daily bread — you will not read three words without one. Every feminine word ends in this little bun; count the loaves on any wall and you are counting the grammar.
