Phase 17 merged on 2026-07-13 (PR #21) — the sources phase, four adapters shipped in one day, written up retrospectively as this News section opens.
Coptic Scriptorium brought Coptic in as the library’s fifteenth
gold-lemma language (233,020 lemma rows at sync), with
language-of-origin loan tags that expose the Greek layer inside Coptic,
and two new witnesses for the parallel New Testament. The Epigraphic
Database Heidelberg added the Latin inscriptions of the Roman empire —
and with them the library’s first genre facets (search
--type/--province/--material) and a 93,646-row persons prosopography.
Monier-Williams joined the reference shelf with bijective SLP1↔IAST
transcoding and citation tiers that resolve Rigveda references to their
source texts; its comparanda became the second etymological witness
beside the Wiktionary-derived shelves. Wiktionary reconstruction, part
2 added four intermediate proto shelves (Balto-Slavic, Italic,
Indo-Iranian, West Germanic) and multi-hop closure through them, with
borrowings flagged honestly as “(loan)” in cognate lists. Three surveys
(Etruscan, Slovenian/Balkan Slavic, Indo-European lexical databases)
queued the next round of sources.
